Calibration / procedure

Set the Reference Point

A calibration routine is a fairness check: it makes each station’s origin, floor and playable boundary deliberate and repeatable.

Run the same sequence at each station

Make calibration observable. One person performs the setup; another verifies the resulting position against a known reference.

Choose and record the origin

Use the same clearly identified point at each station. Confirm that the virtual forward direction matches the agreed physical direction and record any system-specific setup choice.

Calibration record

CheckObservationPass condition
OriginPlayer returns to the marked stanceVirtual and physical reference agree
FloorStanding and crouched posesFloor remains consistent through both
CoverageTurn, reach and low stanceNo unexplained loss or jump
RepeatRun the same movement twiceEndpoint is consistent enough to play

If a check fails, pause and isolate one change at a time. Changing several variables together makes the cause harder to identify.
